It feels more like february than march. The storm team is showing scattered flurries in Southern Maryland. At the end of march we are talking about flurries in the catch of gray. Reporter beatrice harleys family tells us theyve been looking for answers for weeks ever since they found the 102yearold grandmother whos lived in this house for 25 years, dead covered in blankets near her radiator. They say the heat had been turned off. Outside they found her gas line had been excavated and exposed. And they say Washington Gas is refusing to answer any questions. The forecast was calling for snow. The temperature was in the 30s. Paul bowman came to check on his 102yearold mother. She was found in her night clothes. She had taken as many blankets as she could find pillows, rolled herself up and got as close to the hot water radiator as she could. And thats where she was found. Reporter the medical examiner has not released the cause of death, but bowman says he feels sure it had something to do with the heat being turned out. Yes. I totally do.
