With the pervasive single-use masks during the pandemic now presenting an environmental problem, researchers have demonstrated the idea of incorporating old masks into a cement mixture to create stronger, more durable concrete.
Online Cherry Institute focuses on Little Cherry Disease, pollination and marketing
This year, the Cherry Institute is
going virtual. According to Northwest Cherry Growers Vice President of Marketing James Michael, this year’s event will feature the same quality of information growers have enjoyed in the past, at in person events. “This is the world’s largest cherry meeting and this year it’s free and brought to you in your own home. It’s the perfect opportunity to catch up and get informed.”
The 78-year-old Cherry Institute will be held virtually on January 21st, in conjunction with WSU Tree Fruit Days.
