260 kg of ganja seized in Ramanathapuram; three arrested | Madurai News

MADURAI: The Ramanathapuram district police on Monday seized 260 kg of ganja from a house near Kenikarai and arrested a man and his two sons. The accused have been identified as M Navas Khan of Nehru Nagar 5th Street near Kenikarai and his sons, Washim Khan and Abdul Washid. The police searched the house, based info received by district superintendent of police E Karthick. They found ganja stuffed in bags in a corner of the house. Police suspect that the accused could have stocked the ganja to be sent to Sri Lanka. An electronic weighing scale and polythene bags for packing ganja were also seized.
