For several months, and in most cases the entire year, Wasco High School wrestlers have been working towards this moment: a shot to vie for a state championship.
Just two weekends ago, both the boys and girls earned South Sequoia League titles, marking the boys' second in a row and the girls' third league title in a row.
In their first year of having a competitive cheer squad, the Wasco Tigers walked away with a Valley title knocking off over a dozen other teams in the process.
