Here is the weekly report from Department of Natural Resources conservation officers in northwest Minnesota and adjacent areas of northern Minnesota for Monday, Dec. 21:
District 1 - Baudette area
CO Ben Huener (Roseau) checked anglers on Lake of the Woods, as well as archery deer hunting and trapping activity around Roseau County. Ice on Lake of the Woods is good for the most part, but stubborn cracks keep opening in several places, keeping anglers from going out very far. Violations for the past week included hunting deer with the aid of bait, possessing an overlimit of walleyes, possession of marijuana, angling with an extra line and felony possession of cocaine.
