The men ducking into the uhaul to avoid detection. They were spotted by a witness and police were alerted by an alarm. The first officers on scene say the suspect in the uhaul tried to ram them. Now, fortunately no officers were hurt in that incident. The suspects then took off after the ramming and Police Chased them on to the freeway and into oakland. We were on scene this morning in oakland as officers searched through that west oakland neighborhood looking for the two suspects. The one person in custody was the driver of the stolen u haul. The remaining suspect, the driver, was arrested and he was booked here at hayward. Hes a 20yearold male from oakland and his charges include assault with a Deadly Weapon on a police officer, burglary, leading officers on a high speed chase. The box truck was stolen. Reporter police are looking for two suspects but it may be as many as three suspects. There are surveillance cameras here. The manager was reviewing the surveillance video. He says he

And we are there with more news on the building. This is the former portrero Police Station but it has been vacant for a decade. Firefighters say it is clear that someone was going inside. The fire broke out at the two Story Building at 3 00 in the morning, and firefighter are investigating this as suspicious. Firefighters were searching the empty rooms with holes in the wall, a sign of forced entry and that people had been inside.
