close to the business jet, so close that the collision avoidance systems on the aircraft went off and they had to take evasive maneuvers to avoid each other. controllers directed these two planes into each other s flight paths. the trouble is, there have been 21 incidents that the faa calls operational errors, 21 cases oned this one, so far in this fiscal year. some of them are near misses. we ve had a continental jet involved her, military aircraft, a jetblue aircraft, a shuttle jet, all of them involved in these close calls in the skies. and then other cases that the faa calls operational errors. so now faa and the ntsb are trying to get to the bottom of this. this team is going to the warrenton center to do a fuel review of the air space. you have dulles international airport, reagan national airport, you ve got bwi airport halfway between baltimore and washington. you ve also got andrews air
