Cuyahoga County plans to complete road projects in 27 cities and villages over the next two years.

CLEVELAND, Ohio A Cuyahoga County Council committee on Wednesday signed off on the bulk of locally-funded county road projects planned for 2021 and 2022, which include portions of major arteries and other well-traveled routes in 27 cities and villages.
The projects, which require approval by the full council, are largely resurfacing projects, though some involve the rehabilitation of intersections, according to Nichole English, planning and programming administrator
for the county’s Public Works Department.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A Cleveland man attempted to steal nearly $6,000 worth of merchandise from the WalMart on Warrensville Center Road where he worked, according to the South Euclid Police Department.
The 22-year-old is now in jail, facing felony theft charges, according to a department Facebook post.

Theft: Chadbourne Road
At 2 p.m. Dec. 16, a resident living in the 3200 block of Chadbourne Road reported seeing a delivered package stolen from the front porch of her neighbor’s house. The woman supplied police with the license plate number of the suspects’ pickup truck. Police located the truck and detained a Cleveland Heights woman, 50, and a Cleveland man, 58.
Packages stolen from other homes were found in the truck, including two stolen from other Chadbourne Road homes. These packages were returned to their owners. The man and woman were charged with theft and released.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A 17-year-old was shot twice in the chest in Maple Heights on Thursday, according to a press release from the Maple Heights police department.
The boy was alert and talking and is currently in critical but stable condition, according to the release.
The victim told police he was walking on Warrensville Center Road near the Libby Road intersection when two males approached him.
“Words were exchanged, and one of the male suspects pulled a gun out of his pocket and shot the victim twice in the chest,” according to the release.
