BRA: Land Tax Bill distribution started - Barbados Today

Barbados Today July 5, 2021 As the Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) has started issuing the land tax bills for the financial year 2021-2022, property owners are reminded that electronic payment channels are available for paying land tax. The Authority is encouraging persons to make use of the digital options which offer convenience, rather than standing in a queue. These options include ezpay.gov.bb, SurePay, the Cave Shepherd Mobile App and the online banking platforms of First Citizens, First Caribbean and Scotiabank. Overseas-based property owners can remit their land tax payments via wire transfer. For this option, taxpayers should ensure that the transfer information includes the Map Reference number and the year to which the payment is to be applied.

BRA: Submit relevant vehicle registration documents

Barbados Today May 30, 2021 As the Barbados Revenue Authority prepares to further automate the vehicle registration service, they report that over 400 applicants have not submitted all of the required documentation to enable processing. The authority has issued notifications directly to those applicants with missing information. Those persons are directed to visit the second floor at the Authority’s Warrens Towers II location with all relevant documentation to complete their transactions over-the-counter. As part of the transition programme, the email submission process for vehicle registrations is suspended with effect Friday, May 28. All vehicle registration transactions will be facilitated over-the-counter until the authority releases the automated vehicle registration service for use in the very near future.
