Firefighters rescue 3 from roof in 3-alarm Bethlehem blaze

No one was reported injured, Chief Warren Achey said at the scene.
The first call to 911 came in at 7:16 p.m. for 524 W. Broad St. in West Bethlehem, according to a Northampton County dispatch supervisor.
Achey said he believes the three people who were rescued were working on the roof.
“It sounds like there was some work going on on the roof, we don’t know if that’s the cause of it yet,” he told lehighvalleylive.com. “But there was work going on on the roof. The firefighters rescued three people off the top of the roof.”

No one was injured after three people trapped by a roof fire Wednesday night in West Bethlehem needed to be rescued, authorities said.
A family was displaced and two businesses had water and smoke damage, Bethlehem Fire Marshal Craig Baer said.
The three-alarm fire broke out a little after 7 p.m. in a row of businesses and apartments in the 500 block of West Broad Street.
Fire Chief Warren Achey previously said three people were working on the roof above the western end of the row, which includes apartments on the second floor and the Bethehem Furnace Co. and Pho Bowl on the ground floor.
