A chp officer is seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in the east bay. It happened on highway 4 near highway 242 in concord. Multiple cars were involved in the crash. The chp officer was responding to a crash on east bound highway 4 when he was hit. Police have not released much information about the crash but we are told that he was not on his motorcycle when he was hit. The officer was taken to the hospital with major injuries but none of the injuries are considered life threatening. It is not clear if anybody else was injured in the accident.
