Gathering of more than 100 caught playing music at beauty spot near Bath over bank holiday weekend The gathering was in breach of lockdown restrictions Updated Police dispersed crowds of more than 100 people at Warleigh Weir over the bank holiday weekend. The well known beauty spot near Bath attracted large crowds enjoying the sunshine and warm temperatures. Avon and Somerset Police were called on Sunday evening (May 30) following reports of large gatherings playing music. Officers encouraged people to leave, and within an hour, half of those present had. In a statement, a police spokesman said: We attended Warleigh Weir on Sunday evening following a report that more than 100 people were gathered there with music playing.
