Ryzen 6000 CPUs Release Not Happening In 2021; AMD Launching 5000 XT Chip Instead
KEY POINTS
It mentioned the AMD Ryzen 6000 CPUs
Now they are no longer in the company s 2021 roadmap
A new report has claimed that AMD is not releasing the Ryzen 6000 CPU series this year and instead would depend on Ryzen 5000 XT processors to offer consumers new choices this year.
Multiple industry watchers and insiders now believe that AMD would not release the highly anticipated Ryzen 6000 CPUs this year. YouTuber RedGamingTech first mentioned this piece of information on April 26. Now a lot of insiders share the same sentiment, including YouTuber Moore s Law Is Dead.

AMD s next-generation Ryzen 6000 CPUs based on the Zen 3+ core architecture and codenamed, Warhol, have reportedly been canceled. The information comes from multiple leakers & insiders whose latest updates suggest that AMD has cut off Warhol from its desktop roadmap and will now be focusing entirely on its Zen 4 Raphael CPUs.
AMD Ryzen 6000 Warhol CPUs Based on Zen 3+ 6nm Core Architecture Reportedly Canned, Ryzen 5000 XT Refresh In The Works
The AMD Ryzen 6000 lineup, codenamed Warhol, was expected to feature the Zen 3+ architecture based on the 6nm process node. The lineup would have offered similar gains in performance such as the AMD Zen 2+ (Pinnacle Ridge) chips which were branded as the Ryzen 2000 parts however, it looks like AMD has decided to move away from Warhol and focus on Raphael, its next-generation Zen 4 Desktop CPU lineup.
We appear to have a new look at AMD’s roadmap for the next two years. The leaked slide claims to show AMD’s plans through 2022, including the first AMD APUs based on the Zen 3+ core architecture and support for DDR5 memory. The same leaker also shared some information about Zen 4 and AMD’s codenamed “Warhol” CPUs.
The AMD APU roadmap shared by @sepeuwmjh is divided into four categories: HP (High Power), LP (Low Power), ULP (Ultra-Low Power) and ELP (Extreme Low Power). In the HP category (45W), Rembrandt will succeed Cezanne. Featuring Zen 3+ core architecture, Navi 2x GPUs, and support for LPDDR5/DDR5 memory, the Rembrandt architecture is expected to be based on TSMC’s 6nm process node.
X570S UD
Motherboard makers tend to refresh their product lineups when a new CPU family is launched. A slight refresh of the X570 motherboards was offered with the Ryzen 5000 Desktop CPUs and since then, the motherboards have mostly been kept the same. It s been 2 years since we moved beyond X570 and a third refresh could be offered in the form of X570S for the AMD Ryzen Warhol Refresh lineup.
Yuko Yoshida (formerly Kitty Corgi) who has been very reliable with his past information recently stated that AMD will be releasing its next-generation Ryzen mainstream CPUs, codenamed Warhol, very soon but does not give an exact month. As for the naming scheme, it is likely that Warhol CPUs could either use the existing Ryzen 5000 CPU branding with an additional notifier such as XT on the Matisse Refresh CPUs or AMD could just simply call the Ryzen 6000 Desktop CPUs.
