Men arrested for alleged theft of $20k worth of items from Lowe's

Photo courtesy: Wareham Police Two New Bedford men have been arrested for allegedly stealing a truck-load of items from the Wareham Lowe’s and selling them at a business in New Bedford. Wareham Police were contacted by the Lowe’s “Organized Retail Crime Investigation Unit.” Together with the Lowe’s team, Wareham police investigated and concluded that a man who had been hired to clean Lowe’s was allegedly stealing items from the store and bringing them to a business at 1407 Acushnet Ave. in New Bedford.  On Thursday, Jan. 21, police executed search warrants at 1407 and 1401 Acushnet Ave. and confiscated $20,000 worth of stolen items. A truck had to be used to bring the items back to the store.

Wareham Police: Cleaner arrested for stealing thousands from Lowe's

Wicked Local WAREHAM Wareham Police say they’ve arrested two New Bedford men involved in stealing what could be up to $100,000 in goods from the Wareham Lowe’s through a cleaning contractor. Wareham Police detectives were contacted by the Organized Retail Crime Investigation Unit of Lowe’s regarding an ongoing larceny issue at the Wareham store on Thursday, Jan. 14, police said. The detectives began a joint investigation with the team from Lowe’s. They conducted several days of investigation and determined that a man who was contracted to clean the store was stealing items and transporting them to New Bedford, police said. The stolen items were being brought to 1407 Acushnet Ave., and were being off loaded into a business at that location.
