Top Huntsville arts/entertainment picks for the week Updated Dec 16, 2020; Facebook Share NEW SOUTHERN ROCK Them Dirty Roses are a young Southern rock band ready to ascend. The Nashville-via-Gadsden quartet’s been on the road for a string of socially distanced shows, at venues including iconic Austin, Texas spot Antone’s. Singer/guitarist James Ford’s swagger and swing stir songs like breakup anthem “Cocaine and Whiskey” and the swaying “Fix You.” Them Dirty Roses benefit from that mysterious something extra when siblings make music together. Ford’s brother, Frank Ford, is the band’s drummer Frank Ford. Guitarist Andrew Davis and bassist Ben Crain complete the circle. For TDR’s SideTracks gig, twangy Bowling Green, Kentucky band The Josephines opens the show. The Josephines’ 2017 album featured a guest appearance from mandolinist supreme Sam Bush.
