New Jersey Herald
The 2020 election cycle may be over, but the 2022 one just got underway with a Sussex County resident s announcement that he s running for Congress.
Nicholas D Agostino, 31, of Wantage, said he ll seek the Republican primary nomination to run against 5th District Democratic Congressman Josh Gottheimer.
D Agostino currently is president of the K-8 Sussex-Wantage Regional Board of Education, where he was elected in November 2016 and re-elected to a second three-year term this past November.
His first two runs for elective office saw him come up short, losing by seven votes to an incumbent on the High Point Regional High School Board of Education in November 2015 and losing again to an incumbent in the June 2016 Republican primary for a seat on the Wantage Township Committee.
