When those caregivers suddenly become offenders the child needs to find a way to report, to get help.” Minty encourages children who are in an abusive situation to find another adult they can trust. During school months she said staff can be an option, outside of school months she advised the Kids Help Phone or the RCMP emergency line at 911.
