The huge downpour has already caused 62 deaths with another 34 reported missing. Hundreds of millions have been affected many have had no power or water for days, were stranded on roof tops or had their homes and properties ruined.
Global Times note: In recent days, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, among other areas in northern China, have been hit by heavy rain. More than 130,000 people have been affected in the hardest-hit city of Zhuozhou in Hebei province, with 146 villages and communities impacted, covering an area of 225.38 square kilometers. A total of 57 relocation sites have been established.
