Traore signs for Wanderers

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed the signing of left-back Adama Traore until the end of the 2022/23 season. The defender comes to the club after a recent two-season stint at A-League side Melbourne Victory where he made over 40 appearances. The pacey left-back has amassed over 150 appearances in the domestic competition and has experience playing overseas at the likes of FC Basel, Vitória S.C., and Göztepe S.K. Traore said he was excited to link up with his new teammates come the start of pre-season in July.

One of the first signings for the Wanderers Academy, Pagden was promoted to the senior team in October 2019 on a scholarship contract, and made his senior debut in a friendly against Leeds United in July 2019. Pagden captained the Young Socceroos to victory in the AFF Under-18 Championship in 2019. Pagden thanked the club and will take some time to focus on his studies, majoring in property economics.
