For the third consecutive winter season, the Midwest Open Ice Fishing Tournament has been canceled due to logistical concerns.
The tournament that is based out of Wamplers Lake in Brooklyn, Michigan, was canceled in 2019 and 2020 due to a lack of ice thickness. The 2021 edition was scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 31, but was officially canceled on Tuesday evening due to COVID-19 restrictions.
