January 22, 2024 The Evangeline Parish Police Jury, in a special meeting Monday, accepted the recommendation of its parish engineer to delay the awarding.
PBSFormer Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar appears in a new episode of the PBS series Finding Your Roots, and in a preview of the episode Sammy discovers that Hagar really isn’t his last name.
In the clip, the rocker is informed by host Henry Louis Gates Jr. that DNA testing shows he doesn’t match with any men with the last name Hagar.
“Get out of here. This is nutty as anything I’ve ever imagined,” he says in the clip, before being informed that his biological last name is actually Belcher and that he matches with 27 men with that surname.
“What a trip,” he says.
Sammy’s episode of Finding Your Roots debuts Tuesday, January 23, at 8 p.m.

Shannen Doherty and her Beverly Hills, 90210 costar, Jason Priestly, spoke about her exit from the show on the latest episode of her podcast, Let's Be Clear. The Charmed actor admitted to showing up to work late and inconveniencing her costars. Reese Witherspoon is defending her culinary choices, after fans criticized the Sweet Home Alabama actor for eating snow. On Friday (January 19th), she shared a TikTok video of herself collecting fresh snow and making what she called a "Chococinno." Along with a scoop of snow that had fallen on her car, Witherspoon added cold brew coffee, chocolate syrup, and salted caramel. Some people expressed concern over her decision to consume the snow. "No no no.. snow is not made to eat.." one person wrote. "U can get seriously sick." In a second video, The Morning Show actor replied to the commentary by saying, "There's so many people on here saying snow is dirty so we went and took snow from the backyard and we microwaved it and it's clear. “I had an idea that was going to be the song because it s very hooky and got all the ingredients,” Rabin tells ABC Audio.
Believe it or not, Rabin says he actually wrote the track on the toilet because acoustically the sound was great in the bathroom.
He notes, “When I wrote that riff, I thought, Ohhh. I stopped and I actually pondered it and I thought, This is either something really kind of cool or it might be just absolutely nothing. ”
