About this event
The Basement Big Band channels inspiration from a time when music was great and jazz was king. Flaunting luscious brass and spicy rhythms, the band features many of Melbourne’s flirtiest musicians. Ten musos packed onto any small stage are sure to get any joint jumping.
Delivering their fiery brand of swinging riffs and infectious dance rhythms the band draws influence from the early Kansas City swing of Count Basie, Bennie Moten and Walter Page’s Blue Devils.
Performing two sets across the evening of Sunday May 30th, from 6:30pm. Tickets are $20 + booking fee, but be quick as capacity is still limited.
