Professor blum we have a very large christian population. We do not consider ourselves at christian nation, a muslim nation, or a jewish nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values. Closer to home, and this is my concluding point, obama endorsed religion pluralism in 2010, wwhen he proposed to build a mosque to blacks from the new world trade center. This is america, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable. So, diverse or not, american pluralism has, in fact, triumph in the age of obama. So, despite all the clamoring from the religious right, of movement to bring america back to a stable time when christians were the sole arbiter of american life, american religious pluralism is now the de facto mode of american self awareness. State of hispanics in america immigration reform, and her compelling personal story. I have a great privilege of experiencing the American Dream in this country, born in kansas. My parents actually came to this country from a very early in the early 50s. My parents came from mexico with no money and very little education. My dad had an eighthgrade education, my mom a fifth grade education. And yet the men they believe in the promise of this country and were seeking better opportunities for their children children. So they worked really hard and sacrificed, as so many latinos and hispanics have done in this country, because they wanted a Better Future for their children and believed in the promise of this country so they taught us important values that have been our guide for our lives, me and my six brothers and sisters but they taught us the importance of family, faith, community, hard work, sacrifice, honesty integrity. All of those bring important values that they shared with us. Su
We can get businesses to help us develop a national streamwork for quality Work Experience and why every young person should be entitled to it. Could this happen in the campaign where completely different areas have completely different circumstances . Not every area can say the same. How could we make this into a National Campaign . Maybe thats the point. No young person should be held back because of where theyre from. That is something we champion as a youth parliament. Why couldnt we champion this message of equality through a campaign . However, even if we did manage to get Work Experience for all young people, two weeks is no ones idea of productive. If we quit Work Experience in all schools wed be condemning young people and not benefiting them. It can be the reality of the work place. Not everyone who comes out with Work Experience feels motivated and inspired the same way not everyone finishes a day of work feeling motivated and inspired. That is life. I knew that would get th
