Got into it, all minorities began to have access. In the early 1990s they stop talking about affirmative action. They started talking about diversity. It was no longer about promoting justice for people affected by slavery and jim crow. It was about promoting diversity. Part of the selling points to the black establishment was hey, white people are tired of hearing people complain. So, we are going to take all of these other ethnic groups and slip black people in there with them and everyone will go in together and we will make this about diversity which is good for companies. All of the old line, you know, black institutions said, hey that is great for all of our asia and and Brown Brothers around the world, but this is about us. We are the ones who were victimized by slavery and segregation. Your immigrant. Get in line. But the native americans and the blacks this is our conversation. That got hijacked and turned into diversity. As a result of that, as many challenges as other immigrant and communities of colors face, agent are doing ok, other groups are moving up, but blacks fell further and brother behind. Diversity programs of not helped. They have skimmed the top. In the lycee, hey look at all of our diversity. Look at this guy from uganda. That is diversity. And blacks who were hurt by slavery and jim crow continued to fall prevent further behind. There is a blackwhite conversation that needs to be had and we need to have both.
