A Romanian man who stole a £40,000 ring from a jeweller in Cirencester, Glos, in 2018 but was not caught until five years later when he was found in Northern Ireland, was finally jailed on Monday (June 19). Alin Mijloc, 42, of no fixed address in the UK, was sentenced to two years imprisonment by a judge at Gloucester Crown Court. Prosecutor Neil Treharne said that Mijloc entered the shop of Walter Bull & Son Ltd, a traditional jeweller in Dyer Street, Cirencester, on March 27, 2018, at 3.50pm and asked to some of the top of the range items on display. “He was served by a member of staff, Martin Coleman, who showed him a number of rings, some of them that were in the window.
