More than 2,000 people received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine Saturday and Sunday at the Chatham-Kent vaccination clinic.
That raised the total to approximately 3,600 doses administered in the first six days since the clinic opened Feb. 23 at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham.

“This weekend everything went really well at the Bradley Centre,” Dr. David Colby, Chatham-Kent’s medical officer of health, said in a statement. “The efficiency of delivering vaccinations to such a large number of people is really impressive. I am so proud of everyone’s contributions in accomplishing this.”
