A new theatre festival will take place in the Wexford Arts Centre this weekend as five original plays are staged over the course of two nights. Page to the Stage 2024 is presented by Amigo Productions and features works carefully selected by founder Paul Hughes and his team.
Given its status as a local mecca for all those of a literary persuasion, it stands to reason that the Wexford Youth Literary Society would choose Red Books as its home. However, while Wally O’Neill’s store in St Peter’s Square provides an environment, an atmosphere, conducive to the discussion of the great writers or our time, its the society’s members who ensure their fortnightly meetings are open, entertaining, and enjoyable for all.
Anne Ireton from Courtown started writing her debut novel Kaleidoscopic Times by hand in 2020 and then went on to write seven drafts before publishing it recently. “The inspiration just flows when I write pen and paper but a lot of work went into it,” said Anne.
