But amid the ongoing pandemic flight by New York City residents, some agents are floating trial balloons sky high above the Connecticut properties they are listing with the confidence they can cut prices if needed to levels still above what homes would have sold for only a few years ago.

Months after Conair’s former owners sold the Stamford company to New York investors, a member of the Rizzuto family appears to be looking to do the same with his “ranch” on the city’s wooded northern border owned once by a heavyweight boxing champion during the 1920s.
The property known as Star Meadow Ranch was listed for sale over the weekend for $20 million, amid an ongoing stampede by New York buyers for homes and land in Connecticut.
