New details about the investigation of a man accused of stabbing his mother to death in White County were released Tuesday.

CHALMERS, Ind. (WLFI) New details about the investigation of a man accused of stabbing his mother to death in White County were released Tuesday. According to court documents, 44-year-old Brian Neal allegedly stabbed his mother, Cheryl Wingate, on April 28th.
Court documents also state Neal s brother, Charles Wingate called the police around 3:30 p.m. saying his mother had been stabbed. Police found Neal walking down State 43. He told the deputy he had stabbed his mother and brother after Cheryl tried to hit him with a frying pan. The deputy found a knife laying on the road next to Neal.
