Everyone dealt with the aftermath of Rick Grimes disappearance differently, and the show s time jump has only partially filled us in on how the various stars of the show dealt with the the ensuing five-year gap. We ve known for a long time that Daryl went into a kind of self-exile, living out in the woods, before finally returning to his friends with a new canine companion he calls simply Dog. In Find Me, we learn that Daryl spent all that time in the wilderness doing two things: Looking for Rick and keeping track of all the places he d searched, and forming a bond with a woman named Leah (Lynn Collins) who lived in a cabin near his shelter.

The Walking Dead is finally coming to an end and just like the comic it plans to go out with one of the most ambitious storylines in the apocalypse.

Deadline reports Michael James Shaw (
Blood & Treasure) is joining the show as a series regular for the 11th season, and he’ll be playing the character Mercer. As comic fans likely recognize, Mercer is a key player in the storyline revolving around the massive community of The Commonwealth, a settlement that rivals that of a major city, and easily the biggest collection of survivors ever gleaned on the series to date.
In The Commonwealth, however, things aren’t so great for everyone it’s a stratified society, and Mercer, who used to be in the U.S. military, is the head of the Commonwealth Army. Mercer also has a distinctive look in the comics, sporting a mohawk and a badass suit of armor that helps him decapitate Walkers with ease. He also gets romantically involved with Juanita (Paola Lázaro), who was introduced in the 10th season of the show.
