SAMI Composites, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), has announced that it has signed an agreement with global security and aerospace company Lockheed Martin to develop a composites manufacturing centre of excellence in Riyadh.
The Composites Manufacturing Centre of Excellence forms part of SAMI’s efforts to develop a sustainable and self-sufficient defence industries sector in Saudi Arabia, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 goal of localising more than 50% of the Kingdom’s expenditure on defence equipment and services by the year 2030.
