The crime came to light after the girl was taken to a hospital as her health condition deteriorated. Doctors at the hospital found that the girl was pregnant. 

Special girl gang-raped

May 3, 2021 LAHORE:A 13-year-old mentally retarded girl was raped by two people in the Nawankot police area here on Sunday. The accused identified as Shah Mir and Ali Sajid had been raping the girl (B) for the last four weeks. Police registered a case against the culprits, who happened to be the victim s relatives, on the complaint of the victim’s mother. Punjab IG took notice of the incident and directed the CCPO to submit a report and arrest the accused involved in the incident. Woman commits suicide: A 40-year-old woman committed suicide by taking poisonous pills in Shahdara area here on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Uzma of Jia Musa Shahdara. The woman was said to be depressed over exchange of words with her family. On the day of the incident, Uzma swallowed poisonous pills. As a result, her condition went critical. She was taken to a local hospital where she expired. Body was shifted to morgue.

Court adjourns hearing against Shahbaz until May 18 National April 22, 2021 LAHORE: An accountability court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of Ramzan Sugar Mills and Aashiana Iqbal references against PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif till May 18. Shahbaz was produced before the court while Hamza Shahbaz also attended the hearing of Ramzan Sugar Mills reference in which he is a nominated accused. The court adjourned the hearing of both the references as a regular trial judge has not been appointed after the transfer of the judges of accountability courts. In the Ramzan Sugar Mills reference, the NAB blamed Hamza Shahbaz, chief executive of Ramzan Sugar Mills, for getting constructed a drain, facilitating his mill with the public money in Chiniot. The then chief minister Shahbaz Sharif allegedly approved Rs 210 million for the drain construction.
