Youngsters have been cooking up some tasty treats to celebrate St David s Day. Although this year’s St David’s Day celebrations were different due to coronavirus restrictions, Denbighshire Education and Children’s Services, in partnership with Denbighshire School Meals Service, organised a cooking challenge for children, young people and their families. The competition gave children the chance to demonstrate their skills and their passion for cooking by using ingredients that are local and healthy. Using their imagination and their knowledge of Welsh and local food/produce, children were asked to create a dish they thought St David would enjoy eating - sweet or savoury.
