A VICTORIAN railway station that has been left unused for decades is set to be given a new lease of life. Disused spaces at Abergele & Pensarn Railway Station are being re-decorated, re-plastered and fitted with lighting and heating in a plan to put it to community and commercial use. It forms part of Transport for Wales’ Station Improvement Vision for stations across the Wales and Borders network. Contractors are on site transforming what was once the station’s booking office and main building into a usable space. All windows and doors will also be repaired at the old railway station under the project, which is being supported with funding from the Railway Heritage Trust.
