Covid: Reopening education top priority says minister

Fully reopening schools remains the top priority as the battle with the pandemic continues, said Wales Education Minister.
Kirsty Williams said secondary school pupils could all be back in school after the Easter break at the Welsh Government coronavirus briefing.
It comes after three-to-seven year olds started to return to classrooms on Monday.
Other primary pupils, and years 11 and 13, are due to return on 15 March if Covid case rates continue to fall.
Plaid Cymru leader Adam Price repeated his call for teachers to be vaccinated.
But he added: It think the Welsh approach, which is also the Scottish and the Northern Irish one, is the right one and that s taking it in a step by step cautious way rather than doing it all at once .

Secondary schools and colleges will close across Wales from December 14, the education minister has announced.
Kirsty Williams said the decision was part of a national effort to reduce transmission of coronavirus , despite ministers only this week standing firm on the decision not to close schools early.
It comes following the latest scientific advice which suggests people should self-isolate for 10 days ahead of the Christmas period where up to three households are allowed to mix indoors.
There were mounting calls from opposition parties and unions for schools to close early, warning that decisions on term dates should not compromise safety , but Kirsty Williams said the decision was made to bring the R number down, not to allow people to self isolate before Christmas.
