Suspected kidnappers, Army, local vigilante in gun duel at Oke-Ero, Kwara

DAILY POST gathered that the gun duel happened near Ero-Dam in the local government area on Thursday.
The two suspects arrested were identified as Bunmi, an indigene of Odo Owa and a Fulani man named Ramoni.
Both suspects according to a top Civil Defence Corps official in Omu-Aran, Mr. A.O.Mobayo, have been handed over to the Nigeria Police area command office at Omu-Aran, in Irepodun Local Government Area of the state, for further investigation.
The joint covert operation, DAILY POST further gathered, was sequel to the confessional statement of a suspected kidnapper arrested in Ekiti by the state police command.
The police later confirmed the attack and the murder of the woman.
Chairman of the Oyo State chapter of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Abubakar Jijji, who confirmed the attack to
Daily Trust, said the action was a setback to the association’s search for peace and harmony.
The Oyo State Police Command, in a statement by its spokesperson, CSP Fadeyi Olugbenga, said at around 9 am on Sunday, it was alerted that some unidentified persons, who were later found to be members of the OPC, had invaded Kajola community.
“The invasion was reportedly aimed at arresting one Wakili, a Fulani by tribe, who is alleged to be the sponsor and mastermind of various criminal attacks against the people/farmers of Yoruba origin in the community.

The residents said the presence of Wakili Fulani in Ayete was a threat to residents.

Residents of Ayete, Igangan and Tapa in the Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State on Monday morning denied a statement credited to the Oyo State government that peace had returned to the area.
The residents said the presence of Wakili Fulani in Ayete was a threat to residents.

Wakili has been described as a notorious Fulani man wreaking havoc and causing unrest in the area.
A farmer who resides in Ayete, Raji Idowu, told SaharaReporters that Fulani herdsmen were still on his farm as at Sunday morning, saying he wondered where government got the fake information from.

Some suspected Fulani herdsmen have burnt about ten acres of cashew farm, near Wakili Fulani village, Kajola Ayete, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State.
SaharaReporters learnt that the farm, belonging to a 90-year-old Yoruba man, Chief Oyewole, was burnt because the nonagenarian was one of those who had complained about the criminal activities of Fulani herdsmen in his village.
