these culture wars saying he has the lowest unemployment rate in history for african-americans. but i think the question becomes, and this is something i ask voters all the time. great, you feel like the economy is doing well, but what about your personal wages? how many jobs are you working, what about your health care costs? and they re like, yeah, i m working two or three jobs but i m still living paycheck to paycheck. you are working right now in mississippi. how are you messaging the economy there? the economy in mississippi has more people working than ever before. mississippi is moving forward. that s because it s on realignment scheme toward: well, on the wage issue, it s all about workforce training, improving workforce training and repositioning the state s economy for the jobs of the future and not necessarily the jobs of the past. and many states sounds like democratic arguments back in the rust belt states that didn t work. but is that what s happening in
people except for cory booker talked about of how you re going to fight voter suppression. because even if you ve got black people supporting you, if their votes don t count or they can t get to the polls, that doesn t count. and i am so glad you raised that age issue. black voters by age, biden s support by age. this is exactly what jason was pointing out. youngest voters, he s only at 27%. 65 plus he s at nearly 60%, donna. yeah. i mean, this is where you come to this question of younger voters who really think in terms of intersections. they don t just think about, you know, sort of where s the guy who s been with the black guy. and i think that that provides an opportunity for a lot of the other candidates to eat in there and turn that vote out. that vote basically didn t really show up in 2016. and this is a real opportunity. and the other thing is for joe biden, he s got to start looking
stable people object to so much. bret: how much of this foreign policy and how he is dealing with it do you think will play in 2020 as we get ready to go through this democratic primary process? anna: it is clearly on the minds of voters. i think it is definitely on the minds of capitol hill and senators who are very, i think, about what the president is doing with iran, north korea. you will see that play out more and more on capitol hill and hearings in trying to get a handle what the president is doing. and i think one of the questions you are going to see come i don t know 21 democratic candidates will be talking every single day. you will hear them talk more about education and the wage issue and a lot more about the social issues rating down in the south versus this. but this will be one of the flash points. bret: tom. tom: quickly come i think it is true john bolton is playing good cop/bad cop but they have different articulations. president trump s inability to
wage issue against their own party and the leadership hates that. she is hotdogging nancy pelosi. a lot of people in leadership are things slow down a little bit. let s be honest. this reminds me of a rookie. great college career, now they got drafted, they entered the league and giving the opposing teams a lot of bulletin board material. a lot of the vets on the team don t really like her all that much, getting called for a lot of personal flow cracks personal fouls she s in page six a lot. she might burn out but she might have a long career. we don t really know yet. juan: she voted for nancy pelosi and then the republicans hissed at her because she is gold for republicans. they are making her the star. it s not democrats. it s republicans will love her.
leadership it is not personal they rotate they give people an opportunity. these old people 70s and 80s it is frustrating. funny because you mention that age issue. nancy pelosi and jim democrat leaders all deep into their 70s. martha fudge is in her 60s so if you want a fresh face that is young and all of that they talk about old white men their party has a lot of old leaders as well. ed henry on the couch this weekend. with pete, all right thanks guys. 20 minutes after top of the hour dash cam video shocking legal immigrant to get out of the his car and opening fire on a police officer. watch.
