BRUNSWICK, Ohio I have to admit, I’ve been shaken by the assault on the Capitol building in Washington, D.C., and, as I write this, I worry more is coming, including at the Ohio Statehouse. Then, I received a message from Ohio History that provided some interesting perspective.
These two paragraphs were of most interest to me, and I wanted to share them:
“In this tumultuous and unpredictable time, it is our responsibility as historians to confront disinformation and propaganda that threatens our democracy. The Ohio History Connection, rooted in our core value of authenticity, will do our part to ensure Ohioans (have) access to the tools and facts of history.
Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) and The Wadsworth Public Library open the 2021 monthly free concert/workshops on January 10, 2021, at 2 pm with singer-songwriter, Jerry Allen in a program of country music.
Formally known as Jerry Channing when he recorded for the MGM record label as a teenager, Allen had two releases with MGM- “Little Girl in the Magazine” and “You Loved Med”. Both tunes are still played on “Oldie” stations across the country. Currently, Jerry is involved in a project in an effort to make a second run at the recording industry in Nashville. 41.02591;-81.72821
