1,000 Club / Huffman reaches milestone, wins conference, national Player of the Week
The first week of the women’s basketball season couldn’t have been much bigger for Ashlyn Huffman.
The senior from Columbus North scored 53 points in two games for Cedarville (Ohio) to eclipse the 1,000-point mark for her college career. She was subsequently named Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Player of the Week and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Player of the Week.
“Those were incredible honors,” Huffman said. “We play in a very good conference. It’s been a really neat week, and I’m excited to play the rest of the season.”
