Communications Minister Paul Fletcher has criticised the ABC after the national broadcaster published an Australia Day article that also used the term Invasion Day .
The Australian, a News Corp masthead, has recently highlighted what it described as a barrage of criticism aimed at the ABC over the article.
Communications Minister Paul Fletcher on Monday also weighed into the issue, saying the ABC clearly got this one wrong by using both terms.
“The ABC has clearly got this one wrong. The name of Australia Day is reflected in legislation across Australia. More important, it is reflected in the usage of the overwhelming majority of Australians.

The spokesperson said Mr Morrison have have to reassess closer to the date but added that he loves going to WA, despite going there in his own campaign during the 2019 federal election.
Mr Kirkup, who has struggled to make a good impression on WA residents, is trying to win people over after a disastrous election result in 2017 that saw Labor leader Mark McGowan win 41 of the 59 seats.
