WEST UNION As the COVID-19 vaccine is becoming more available to members of the public over 80 years of age, the outlying counties are holding vaccine clinics as it becomes available to them.
At the present time, the vaccine is only available for those over the age of 80 and some county health departments are only offering it to residents of that county.
The Doddridge County Health Department received its first shipment of the vaccine on Dec. 15 which was delivered by members of the National Guard, according to the Doddridge County Health Department Facebook page.
The first to be vaccinated were people who are directly involved with COVID response.
