PRINCETON – Although winter is still upon us, Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary, located at 113 Goodnow Road, is looking ahead to the warmer months, with registration for summer camps for children opening soon.
“We believe that during these unprecedented times, it is important for children to get away from (computer) screens and (get) outdoors, to explore with friends in a safe and meaningful way,” said Elizabeth Broughton, camp director and caretaker of the 1,124 acres at the Mass. Audubon sanctuary. “Nature has a natural healing effect, and full days of nature exploration at camp also make children more tired, and parents tell us that they sleep better at night.”
