Copeland MP gets to work solving local issues at a planned community meet

The MP for Copeland is bringing together community leaders to help solve local issues. On Thursday, May 13, Trudy Harrison MP will host the inaugural session with parish, borough and county councillors from Millom, Bootle, Whicham, Ulpha and Waberthwaite, as well as education and health professionals from Millom School and Waterloo House Surgery. Mrs Harrison said: “At the forefront of our national recovery is the government’s plan to support economic growth through significant investment in infrastructure, skills and innovation. “I look forward to facilitating parish, borough and county councillors, along with business people, private investors, health and education professionals from Millom and Haverigg, Whicham, Silecroft, Ulpha, Bootle and Waberthwaite this week to develop community projects.

Man accused of causing actual bodily harm to two people A man is due to face court after he was charged with assaulting two people and causing £1,000 of damage to a phone. Matthew Michael O Donnell, 31, and of no fixed abode, is accused of causing actual bodily harm and criminal damage in Barrow on August 21. The defendant is due to appear at South Cumbria Magistrates Court on Tuesday. Barrow man denies harassing woman over five-month period Jonathan Wren pleaded not guilty to the offence when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates Court. The 47-year-old, of Gosport Street in Barrow, is alleged to have harassed the woman between January 1 and May 27 2020.
