• Lindsey Marie Smith made an initial appearance on a failure to maintain control charge and a no insurance charge. Smith pleaded guilty to both charges. On the failure to maintain control charge the fine is $155 with court costs of $90 for a total of $245.25. The fine on the no insurance charge is $645 with a $96.75 surcharge and $90 in court costs for a total of $831.75. All payments are due within 30 days.
• Adriana Bernice Herrera Paez made an initial appearance on a possession of methamphetamine-first offense charge, a keeping a premises or vehicle for controlled substance violation charge, two counts of a child endangerment charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Jeff Hazen appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Jan. 8. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
