on friday, the republican secretary of state announced that he was going to purge over 100,000 voters from the voting rolls in georgia, which is one of the things that we have been talking about all the wile in the last few months, in the last few years. that has been just an overly egregious way to purge the list and to minimize the impact on black voters. in addition to that, this saturday, today, there are several members on the local election boards that are being taken off the boards for no apparent reason, other than the republican party thinks that they shouldn t be there, and they ve been empowered, where they actually can replace local election boards with sb-202. so they re moving very quickly, expeditiously, around making sure that they create an administrative process to marginalize voters in the state of georgia, as i think a punitive measure for black voters showing up and showing out in record numbers last year. and so it has already began, which is why part of what we a

absolutely. this past friday, before we kicked off our initiative, the secretary of state announced he was purging 100,000 voters from the voting rolls. now we re seeing in one county, a majority african-american county in southwest georgia, they re attempting to close polling sites there. in addition to that they re actually pulling people off the board of elections. this is a blatant abuse of power and we need federal legislation to stop that, to actually expand some protection, and we need to make sure the courts are aligned. michael waldman, is there a way to get at some of these provisions around the country that appears to actually manipulate the outcome of the election by the way they deal with the processing of votes and the challenging of counts? people can call out and try to stop them from getting passed. and they need to have the
