Situation, a key event is happening this evening. What do you expect to hear from the candidates tonight . Reporter we have a few thousand Iowa Republican activists who are here to see their field of candidates with the exception of the front runner, donald trump. You mentioned his legal woes. That has become part of the campaign. At least for a night, this will be a trumpfree evening in the sense that he will not be here. His rivals will be. When you talk to some Republican Voters here, some of his supporters are very much with him, of course. We know that his core base is strong. But several are saying that they are willing to turn the page, in fact, interested in turning the page. And the candidates are now trying to seize upon that. There is a sense of urgency among many of his rivals. Particularly ron desantis. Hes been trying to hit all 99 counties across iowa. Hes up to 56 counties. He was campaigning in the western part of the state before coming here to des moines. One thing i
