tampering. that s an important distinction. he says there is evidence of improper actions in one of the vote counting areas. we just spoke with steve murkowski at murkowski campaign. he told me he is glad that the rhetoric is being toned down and the most incendiary allegations of vote tampering have been toned down. he said this is not our first rodeo. we have been to these things before. and he thinks the inexperience of the miller campaign in dealing with something like this is showing itself through here. he also said that all these allegations coming out of the miller campaign seem to indicate that miller while he wants to be the standard bearer for the republican party, he s paranoid of the republicans and how they
ballots to be mailed from all different corners of this vast state and they will have some of them still trickling in. we ll have so many votes counted today that we might know the winner by the end of the day. jon: what about the allegations of fraud? what do you know about that? reporter: yeah, vote tampering, in fact the official tkpwaeugs was made an the investigation was made by the miller campaign yesterday because there was an observer who was in a counting office and he had a backpack, a cellphone, and the allegation is that he was on a computer, that it was a state computer, and may have been going in trying to tamper with the results. now we just got done talking with the elections director and she said absolutely there was no way that he could have been on a computer which would have given him access to any vote totals. by the way the lisa murkowski campaign says absolutely not, the guy may have made some mistakes in taking a backpack
