A teenager has pleaded guilty to the triple murder of a 16-year-old girl and her parents after he shot the victims dead then went on the run when he was caught in bed with the girl. A search warrant affidavit issued by the Utah State Bureau of Investigations has brought to light new details regarding the February 10 Bear River Rancheria triple homicide including the events that led up to the killings, suspect Mauricio Sanchez-Johnson’s subsequent actions, and his flight from law enforcement.
According to the search warrant affidavit, on the morning of Wednesday, February 10, a 13-year-old identified as “Jane Doe-1” called 911 telling the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center saying she had found “her mother, sister, and father bleeding out” in a bedroom of the residence located [on] Carroll Road.”
