For nearly 50 years, RSVP has been responding to our communities needs by crafting responsive and innovative programming to meet the requirements of students and their families, adults and seniors as well as nonprofit organizations. All programs share one common thread: they utilize volunteers to make a difference.
âWhen COVID shut down our communities and volunteers were no longer able to serve in person, we responded by transitioning our programs to virtual platformsâ, said Michele Moll, RSVPâs Executive Director. âIt was a critical step to help students face the challenges of this new form of learning and to help bridge the educational gap between disadvantaged students and their more advantaged peers.â
UPPER MERION â RSVP has been awarded a $30,000 two-year grant from The Pew Charitable Trusts in their ongoing support of its Volunteer Executive Consultants (VEC) program.
VEC, a program of RSVP for more than 35 years, utilizes the skills of seasoned executives who volunteer their time to assist nonprofit organizations with capacity building and operations, especially relevant during the COVID pandemic. Areas of expertise include management, technical advice, fundraising and marketing services, operations and planning.
Many nonprofit organizations operate on extremely tight budgets with funding limitations dictating growth and expansion. VEC consultants assist with board development, business planning, database management, financial and fundraising advice, market research and communications and human resources at no cost. Nonprofits in need of consultation are encouraged to reach out to vec@rsvpmc.org.
