Some unidentified persons on Sunday, January 10, broke into the Rootsenaf Gas filling station at Satsimadza near Agbozume in the Volta Region and made away with an amount of GH¢7,000, a pump action gun and other unspecified items.
The gas filling station belongs to the Member of Parliament (MP) of the Keta in the Volta Region, Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey.
It is the second attack on the MP in a month.
The MP was on Friday, December 11, 2020, attacked by some unknown gunmen at his home at Anlo-Afiadenyigba.
With Sunday s robbery, a security man at post sustained gunshot wounds while the robbers made away with an amount of GH¢7,000, a pump action gun and other unspecified items.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s Member of Parliament-elect for the Keta constituency in the Volta Region, Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpe has been attacked by unknown gunmen at the dawn of Friday, December 11, 2020.
A statement signed by the Volta Regional Secretary of the NDC, James Gunu said Mr Gakpe was attacked in his residence at Anlo-Afiadenyigba.
“The Member of Parliament Elect for Keta was attacked by unknown assailants at his Anlo-Afiadenyigba residence in the early hours of Friday, December 11, 2020. The gun-wielding thugs believed to be part of the NPP vigilante group succeeded in inflicting injuries on Hon. Gakpey who is currently hospitalized. The MP-elect’s mother and other family members were also attacked and brutalized.

The Keta Municipal Police Command of the Volta Region has assured to offer all-day security protection to the newly elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Keta, Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey who has suffered some attack by gunmen days after winning the elections.
Mr. Gakpey who was elected on December 7, 2020, as a first time MP for the Keta constituency was attacked by some gunmen on Friday dawn, December 11, 2020, around 1:00 am at his residence at Afiadenyigba.
The incoming MP, however, managed to escape with injuries after running to the Afiadenyigba police station although he could not be assisted.
